Configuring Windows98 for Monster ISP dialup access.
Open the My Computer icon.
Double click on Dial-Up
Networking
Double click Make New Connection.
Enter Monster ISP in the name
field then click Next.
Type the area code and phone
number of a Monster ISP dialup that is LOCAL to you. (Refer to
the dialup list or our website
http://www.monster-isp.com/). Click Next.
You are now finished with the
setup wizard. Click Finish.
After the setup wizard has
completed it will create a Monster ISP icon (in Dial-Up
Networking). Highlight the Monster ISP icon, click FILE then
PROPERTIES.
Click the Server Types tab.
Uncheck ‘Log On to the Network’, ‘NetBEUI’ and ‘IPX/SPX’.
Now click TCP/IP Settings.
Click 'Server assigned name server
addresses'.
After clicking OK twice you will
be put back into Dial-Up Networking.
To connect, double click the
Monster ISP Icon, enter your USERNAME and PASSWORD (in
lowercase only), make sure SAVE PASSWORD IS CHECKED then click
CONNECT.
After a minute or two you will be
connected to Monster ISP. Open your web browser (Internet
explorer, Netscape, etc…)
