Setting up the PlayStation2 Network Adaptor
MONSTER ISP does not provide support for console gaming, and
our customer care specialists are unable to provide assistance for
gaming issues. This information is provided as a convenience and
may serve as a general guideline only.
To setup the PlayStation®2 on the MONSTER ISP network you must
first install the network adaptor according to the instructions
found in the installation guide or on the
PlayStation2 Network Adaptor Web site. Once you have
installed the network adaptor you are ready to begin the ISP setup
process.
- Power up the PlayStation 2 and load the Network Adaptor
Startup Disc
- Once it has loaded, Press X to enter the ISP SETUP
- The ISP SETUP will begin to load
- Once the setup process has loaded press X to continue
- Your PlayStation will search for the network adaptor
- After the network adaptor has been found, press X to
continue
- Press X again to continue
- Wait while the data is accessed
- Select NEW and then press X to continue
- Type a name for you ISP setting. For our example we have
chosen MONSTER ISP, but this can be any name you would like to
associate with this connection.
- When asked is you currently subscribe to an ISP service,
select YES and press X to continue
- For connection type, choose DIAL-UP CONNECTION [MODEM] and
press X to continue
CREATING A NETWORK CONFIGURATION
SETTING UP A NETWORK CONFIGURATION USING
A DIAL-UP CONNECTION:
1. In order to set up a network configuration for the Network
Adaptor you will need to know specific information about your
Internet Service Provider before proceeding. You will need to
know:

2. Using the on-screen keyboard, enter a name
for your new network configuration and press the X button. This
name should represent where or how you will use this connection
(i.e. home, office, modem, etc…)
3. You will be asked whether you subscribe to an Internet
Service Provider. Select YES and press the X button if you
already have a provider, select NO and press the X button if you
do not.
4. On the next screen, highlight Dial-up Connection (Modem) and
press the X button.
5. Read the notices on the following screens and press the X
button to proceed.
6. Ignore the list of ISPs and highlight OTHER and press X.
- Wait while your network connection is tested
- Once the network connection test is successful press X to
save the configuration to the memory card
- The network configuration will now be saved to the memory
card. DO NOT REMOVE THE NETWORK CARD WHILE THIS INFORMATION IS
BEING SAVED.
- Your PlayStation should now be configured to connect to the
Internet and you should now be able to start playing online,
press X to return to the main menu.
- To test out your connection you can choose DEMOS and press X
to continue
- From there follow the instructions on screen to play an
online game demo
